ABOUT THE ARTIST
Artist was born in Ankara, in 1978. He completed his primary and middle school education in Ankara. In 2002, he graduated from Erciyes University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Painting Department with Honor’s Degree and in 2006, he completed his education at Kocaeli University, Institute of Social Sciences, Painting Department, Pedagogical Proficiency program. Between 2005-2008, he worked as visual arts lecturer in Kocaeli and Ankara. Since 2008, he has been working as visual arts lecturer in Eskisehir.
Zafer Dilekci won the Mansion Award with his artwork named as “Tavla - Backgammon” at the painting contest held at Erciyes University in 2002. His works are exhibited in the private collections at Frankfurt, Berlin, Wien, Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Kayseri, Antalya and Nevsehir.
Since 2000, artist works on caricatures as well and his works have been published in weekly humor magazines of Gırgır and Leman. He also won an award in caricature category (Nehar Tublek Contest, Caricaturists Association Special Award). Dilekci’s caricatures were also published in more than catalogues issued at China, Italy, Azerbaijan and Turkey. Since 2998, Dilekci is also producing mosaics and his works are exhibited at the Officer’s Club and social facilities of Gendarme Brigades.
