I was born in Karamursel / Turkey in 1956. After graduating as an instructor, I worked in different cities of Turkey and my interest on art and literature began during that years. I have participated in several solo and group exhibitions in Turkey and Europe and I have attended many international symposiums. I continue to practice art in my own atelier in Antalya.
My priority in painting is to catch ironies in both technical and ideological terms. I love Paul Klee's saying, "Art does not reproduce the visible; rather, it makes visible." What do we call the declining writers-artists who do not seem to have the appearance? Here is where my story begins. It is a very difficult process for someone to follow my paintings but from children to old aged, everyone can find something for themselves. There is color harmony for some audiences whereas socio-political, cultural and psychological state of today's people for the others, even Tom and Jerry chase for some children. This is the nicest thing for me. Because children are pure and not exposed artificial human values. So the chase between the cat and the mouse continues, but the cat will never catch or harm the mouse. My advice to my audience is to be pure and naive as a child and try to follow my paintings in this way. That's when we will all speak the same language.
