ABOUT THE ARTIST
Huseyin Ibrahimiye has a bachelor's degree from Istanbul Technical University, Architecture Department. He has a graduate degree from Marmara University. Ibrahimiye started to practice art in mid 70's by attending Orhan Akkaplan atelier and he continues to practice art in his own atelier in Istanbul.
Hussein Ibrahimiye's paintings take the viewer into the dreamy world of the unconscious. The artist takes a surrealist approach in a way with his style that takes the creatures of the antaxic period, science fiction, human and animal figures in different forms to different ages in the timeline and to the dark tunnels in the inner world of man. Ibrahimiye described their artistic production as "a corridor that evokes different emotions in the audience and draws them into the picture, takes them to different worlds, and takes them to different life - time dimensions than daily life dimensions".
