ABOUT THE ARTIST

Beklan Kizilcay was born in Istanbul, in 1968. After attending Decoration Department at Macka Technical High School, he graduated from Mimar Sinan University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Ceramic Engineering. His talent on the art of painting was discovered in preliminary school and he was encouraged to enter fine art faculty examinations by his lecturers. Kizilcay professionally began to paint in 1993 and continued to practice art until 2009 where he had to give up due to his corporate career. In 2017, he started to create surrealist paintings after retiring from corporate life. All of the paintings of Berkan Kizilcay that were produced before 2017 highly appreciated by authorities and sold out.
